Thousands of stag groups fly into Amsterdam every year from all over Europe and further afield. Nearly all of them enjoy themselves. Fewer manage a truly great weekend, the kind where serious nightlife, beautiful companions, very good food and a little well-organised chaos all line up. If you are the best man aiming for that version, read on.
Minuit Models arranges companions for bachelor parties in Amsterdam as a regular part of what we do. We know the venues that suit a group, the hotels that keep things simple, and how to set up companion bookings so that the groom, the friends who want company and the friends who do not all get the night they came for.
Why Amsterdam Suits a Bachelor Party
The city sits near the top of every stag-weekend list, and the reasons are concrete. Adult entertainment here, from escort companions to the Red Light District and the late clubs, happens openly, without the shady atmosphere you find in some other cities. Booking a companion through Minuit Models means a known agency, a price confirmed in writing and a woman you chose from her photos, so there are no back rooms and no gambles.
Take the adult side away and you still have a first-class city. Michelin-starred kitchens share streets with relaxed Dutch brown cafés. Clubs that book international headliners sit a quarter of an hour from your hotel by taxi. The canals make private boat hire easy, the Jordaan is lined with craft beer bars, and the centre is small enough that hotel, dinner, club and the Red Light District are all a short ride apart. Nobody gets lost between venues.
Almost everyone in Amsterdam speaks English. Check-in, dinner, the club door and the companion booking all happen in fluent English, so groups from the UK, Ireland, the US or Australia find their way around from the first hour. One of the biggest sources of stag-weekend stress disappears before you land.
The variety is hard to match anywhere. One Saturday can hold a canal cruise in the afternoon, a group meal with companions in the evening, a VIP table at a major techno club around midnight and a private gathering back at the hotel afterwards. Amsterdam does each of those well, and having them all in one compact, English-speaking city with a polished escort scene is what sets it apart from the rest of Europe.
A Stag Weekend Timeline That Works
Over-planning is the classic Amsterdam stag mistake. The city rewards you for leaving gaps, so set a loose frame and let the weekend breathe inside it. For groups of six to fifteen, this is the shape that keeps working:
Friday: Landing and the First Night
Aim to check in by early afternoon and let everyone unpack. Make the first group dinner a proper one: the city has excellent kitchens at every budget, and the groom has earned a good table. Restaurant Envy near the Vondelpark, Rijks inside the Rijksmuseum and an intimate one-Michelin restaurant in a converted 18th-century bakery are the reliable picks for setting the tone.
After the meal, head for cocktails at a serious bar such as Tales & Spirits on the Lijnbaansgracht, then on to the club the group has chosen. If any of the guys want a private companion at the hotel after the night out on Friday, arrange it before you fly. Message us ahead of the trip.
Saturday: The Big Night
Saturday carries the weekend. Hire a private canal boat for the afternoon (boats for ten to twenty people are easy to book and not expensive) and you get two or three hours of drinks on the water, the city from a fine angle and the whole group together before the evening starts. The Heineken Experience or the Rijksmuseum work if the groom has his heart set on one, but for a stag group the boat usually wins.
Saturday evening is where the dinner date format comes into its own. Two to four companions joining the table changes the mood: warm, sociable and memorable rather than businesslike. We pick dinner companions for their ease in a group, their range of conversation and their knack for making an ordinary table feel like an occasion. After dessert, go for VIP club entry; most of the better clubs offer table service if you reserve, and for a group this size it is worth it.
Sunday: Slow Morning and Home
Sunday brunch in Amsterdam is excellent. The Vondelpark, the city's version of Central Park, fills up on summer Sundays and makes an easy meeting point before the airport run. Most groups fly out Sunday afternoon or evening, so keep the morning light; everyone will be grateful.
Companion Options for the Group
How you bring companions into the weekend depends on the group. No format is the right one for everybody. These are the set-ups we arrange most often:
One Booking per Guest
Each guest who would like a companion books his own. It is the most popular route and the easiest to manage. With outcall, every companion travels straight to your hotel; the guys who want one sort out their own booking and the rest carry on undisturbed. We time arrivals so several companions reach the hotel together, which avoids a crowded lobby or anyone waiting around.
Companions at the Dinner Table
Two to four companions join the meal as guests. This suits a groom who wants a certain atmosphere for the evening, glamorous, sociable and lively, without every guest booking private time. For group dinners we pick companions with social confidence and plenty to talk about. For the groom himself, duo escorts are a well-loved choice: two companions just for him.
Companions for the Club
Some companions are happy to come out with the group to bars and clubs, purely as company for the night rather than private time. Party escorts lift the energy and the look of a club night. Ask for this when you book, because only some companions offer it.
Private Time at the Hotel
Once dinner and the clubs are done, any guest can have a companion arranged for private time at the hotel. For the groom, an overnight booking or the girlfriend experience is the usual favourite. It is the format most stag groups choose in the end: one shared evening, then each guest with his own companion for the rest of the night, with every detail handled by us.
Booking Escorts for a Stag Group
A group booking takes more planning than a single one. Give us at least 48 to 72 hours so we can line up several companions, confirm that everyone you asked for is free at the same time and get the arrival times right. On busy weekends, summer above all, the earlier you ask, the better.
Send us a WhatsApp message with the group size, how many guests want a companion, the set-up you have in mind (dinner companions, individual bookings or a mix) and your dates. We reply with availability and prices. The rate begins at €180 per companion per hour, and larger multi-companion arrangements are discussed one by one, so send the whole picture.
Every companion looks exactly like her photos. No surprise on the night, no last-minute stand-in, no switch. Look through the gallery and choose by name; the companion you book is the companion who comes.
Not sure whom to choose for a group? Tell us the personalities, the energy and the languages you are after and we will recommend names. We know which companions shine at a busy dinner table, which ones love a loud club night and which tend to be the groom's pick for the end of the evening.
Where to Go Out on a Bachelor Night
The venues decide how the night goes. Amsterdam has strong choices at every level:
Clubs
Shelter Amsterdam in Amsterdam Noord, tucked under the IJ tunnel, is the city's techno landmark: an industrial room, a huge sound system and resident DJs of real quality, the authentic Amsterdam club night. Club NYX is central and easier going, draws a mixed crowd and has a door that is fair to groups. Paradiso, a former church on the Leidseplein, is an institution that runs live bands and electronic nights alike, so check the listings before you travel.
Cocktail Bars
Tales & Spirits on the Lijnbaansgracht sets the standard with prize-winning drinks, staff who know their craft and a room with real character. Bar Oldenhof in the Jordaan is smaller and more intimate, ideal for a tighter group. Door 74 on the Reguliersdwarsstraat is the city's speakeasy of choice; book ahead, it is worth it.
Canal Boats
A private canal boat for ten to twenty people is about as Amsterdam as a group outing gets. Two or three hours afloat, drinks on board and the gables of the old city drifting past. Reserve with one of the well-known hire companies early, because summer Saturday afternoons sell out fast.
Red Light District
The Bananenbar on the Oudezijds Achterburgwal is the classic Amsterdam live show and a fixture on most stag itineraries. A short stroll through the Red Light District is a cultural experience you will not find elsewhere; photography is not allowed, and first-time visitors should know that the area runs on a strong culture of respect.
VIP Tables
At the clubs, reserving a table makes sense for a stag group. You skip the queue, you have a base for the night and nobody drifts off. Most of the better clubs offer it; contact the venue yourself or ask us to help set it up.
Hotels for a Stag Group
For a stag group, the hotel is about location and convenience as much as luxury. Two areas stand out: Centrum, where the Red Light District, the Leidseplein clubs and most restaurants are a walk away, and Oud-Zuid, which is calmer and more upmarket, a little outside the centre but quick by taxi.
With a group, room layout matters. Connecting rooms, or a block of rooms on one floor, make coordinating everyone much easier. These hotels look after stag groups well and are relaxed about companion visits:
5-star modern hotel: a party-minded luxury address, with a great bar, a central spot and staff who are unshockable. boutique design hotel: stylish, central and good value for its quality, well placed for the Leidseplein and the Jordaan. 5-star Museum Quarter hotel: the choice when the groom's comfort comes first, with suites of real distinction. Our guide to escort-friendly hotels in Amsterdam has the full list.
Every major hotel in the city can handle a companion visit, so this is not something to worry about here. Just make sure each companion has the right room number when you book.
What Sets an Amsterdam Stag Weekend Apart
Ask groups what struck them after a weekend here and the answer is usually how little awkwardness there was. In many cities, arranging adult entertainment for a stag means feeling your way through grey areas: venues that are technically allowed yet uncomfortable, services that turn out different from the advert, and a sense that the city would rather not know.
Amsterdam has none of that. The adult side of the city is visible and treated as an ordinary part of local life. Minuit Models companions are poised, intelligent women who chose this work and take it seriously. Time with one of them does not feel transactional the way adult entertainment can elsewhere; the conversation, the warmth and the attention are real. That is what our stag clients name as the difference.
Plenty of the groups we look after return the following year. Not every city is built for a bachelor party, and Amsterdam plainly is.
Stag Weekend Dos and Don'ts
A few practical rules to keep the weekend on track:
Do sort companion bookings early: two to three days at the least for a group, longer for peak dates. Do plan at least one standout moment, whether that is the boat, a private dinner with companions or a VIP table, because those are the parts the group will remember. Do treat every companion with full respect; she is a professional and deserves to be treated as one.
Don't take photos of sex workers in the Red Light District; it is rude, and the people who work there actively discourage it. Don't let the group get too drunk before companions arrive, since the night goes far better when everyone is present and clear-headed enough to enjoy it. Don't try to haggle at the door; rates are fixed when you book and companions will not renegotiate on arrival. Don't skip dinner. The food scene is excellent, and a good group meal sets the mood for the whole night.
